CPR
FIRST AID
Learn how to respond to common first aid emergencies, including burns; cuts; head, neck and back injuries and more. Pediatric option available. Includes basic first aid training, does not include CPR training. Class is four hours long with one fifteen minute break.
BLS
The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.
American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card is valid for two years.
In the classroom, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.
HEARTSAVER CPR
Heartsaver® CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking on an adult. This course teaches skills with AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning of skills.
This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.
Upon completion of this course, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR ACLS AED Course Completion Card that is valid for two years.
During the ACLS Provider Course, an AHA Instructor conducts video-based lessons and works with students to complete their ACLS and AED skills practice and testing.
